Season 1 is The Lighthouse Keeper's Letters — 13 acts and 130 chapters, written as letters home from a new keeper on an island, about the things the keeper before him left behind. Each day's jigsaw is the picture that day's letter is about.

A season with a shape
130 chapters in 13 acts of ten. Each act poses something small and answers it within its own ten days, while one longer thread runs the length of the season.
The story is not behind the paywall
Every chapter of every season is free to read, one chapter per day, forever — including seasons that do not exist yet. There is no ad and no purchase prompt anywhere on the path from today's puzzle to today's chapter, and nothing you can buy makes tomorrow's chapter arrive today at a lower price. If you never pay, you still read the whole thing.
What the paid plans sell is how you read, not what you read
They sell three things: reading ahead without waiting, keeping the whole archive open to reread and replay, and never seeing an ad again. They do not sell chapters. A one-time purchase covers Season 1's archive and removes ads for good; a subscription adds the archive of every season as it is released, plus reading ahead. Both leave the daily chapter exactly where it is — free.

Piece counts run from a short sitting to a long one. The default is 100.

At the larger sizes the problem stops being the puzzle and starts being the search, so the tray does the work a table normally does. You can show only the edge pieces, or only the inner ones, and sort what is left by tone — dark, mid and light, flat and vivid — so the handful of pieces that could possibly belong to that patch of wet slate are the ones in front of you. Three hints a day come free, no ad involved, and they reset each morning. A puzzle you put down is saved where you left it.
Season 1 — The Lighthouse Keeper's Letters
A new keeper arrives on Quillet Isle to take over a light, and finds the previous keeper's belongings, records and habits still in place. He writes home about it. Every ten chapters, one of the small things he has been puzzling over is answered, and the season's longer question moves a step. The chapter illustrations are the puzzles: a lamp room at night, a chandler's shop in the rain, the sixty-three steps of the tower.
Season 2 is in production, and the in-app release schedule shows what is coming. It will be free to read one chapter a day, exactly like this one.

If you cancel
Any chapter you have actually read stays readable, forever — whether you reached it by daily progress or by reading ahead. Cancelling closes the archive and stops further early access, and the ads come back. It does not reach back and take away what you have already read.
Gentle by design
There is no account and no sign-up, and the app sends no push notifications at all — it never asks for the permission. Reduce Motion is respected: the completion reveal and the piece animations settle instead of moving. The reader follows your Dynamic Type setting, because a reading app that ignores it is not a reading app. The illustration and quoted letters carry VoiceOver labels. Nothing in the app asks you to come back; the streak is a count, not a debt, and losing it never costs you a chapter.
Honest notes
- The illustrations and the story were both created with generative AI, then reviewed and edited by a human before release. All characters, places and events are fictional. The full disclosure is on the Credits page, and the same wording appears inside the app.
- Ads are rewarded video only — no banners, no forced interstitials, and never inside the daily puzzle or the daily chapter. There are exactly two, both optional and both on the replay and archive screens: three extra hints, and opening one archive chapter for today. If an ad cannot load, every feature keeps working.
- There is no gacha and no loot box. Nothing random is ever sold, and there is no currency to buy.
- "One chapter per day" is measured against a clock you cannot move by changing the device's date — the app reads the time from the response to its ordinary check for story corrections. So opening a new chapter needs to reach the network now and then. Reading what you have already opened does not.
- Your progress is stored on your iPhone and, if you are signed in, synced to your own iCloud account, which we cannot read. Records merge rather than overwrite. Without iCloud everything still works; progress simply stays on that device.
- The story text ships inside the app and can be corrected without an App Store update. A correction only ever replaces text in an existing chapter — it cannot add, remove or reorder chapters.

課金が売るのは「読み方」であって「章」ではありません
売っているのは3つだけです。待たずに先を読めること、アーカイブを開いたままにして読み返し・遊び直せること、そして広告が二度と出ないこと。章そのものは売りません。買い切りはシーズン1のアーカイブと広告の除去、サブスクリプションはそれに加えて配信された全シーズンのアーカイブと先読みが付きます。どちらを選んでも、その日の章は無料のままです。

ピースが増えると、難しさの正体はパズルそのものより「探すこと」に移ります。そこでトレイに、机の上でやっていた仕事をさせました。外周のピースだけ／内側のピースだけに絞れて、残りを明暗と鮮やかさで仕分けられます——濡れた粘板岩のあの一角にありうるピースだけが、目の前に並ぶように。ヒントは1日3回、広告なしで無条件に使えて、翌日また戻ります。途中でやめたパズルは、その端末にそのまま残ります。
第1シーズン「灯台守の手紙」
クィレット島の灯台に、新しい灯台守が着任します。そこには前任者の持ち物と記録と習慣が、そのまま残されていました。彼はそれについて、手紙を書き送ります。10章ごとに、彼が引っかかっていた小さなことがひとつ片づき、シーズン全体の問いが一段進みます。章の挿画が、そのままパズルの絵です——夜の灯室、雨の島の雑貨屋、塔の六十三段。
シーズン2は制作中で、アプリ内のリリーススケジュールに次に来るものを表示しています。こちらも、このシーズンと同じく1日1章ずつ無料で読めます。

実際に読んだ章は、ずっと読めます——日次の進行で開いた章も、先読みで開いた章も同じです。解約で閉じるのはアーカイブと、これから先読みできる範囲。広告は戻ります。すでに読んだものを、あとから取り上げることはしません。
やさしい設計・アクセシビリティ
アカウントも新規登録もありません。プッシュ通知は1通も送らず、通知の許可も求めません。「視差効果を減らす」をオンにしていれば、完成時のリビールもピースの動きも、動かずに収まります。本文はDynamic Typeの設定に従います——文字サイズを無視する読み物アプリは、読み物アプリではないので。挿画と引用された手紙にはVoiceOver用のラベルが付いています。戻ってくるよう急かすものは、アプリの中にありません。連続日数は記録であって借金ではなく、途切れても章を失うことはありません。
正直にお伝えすること
- 挿画と物語は、どちらも生成AIで制作し、公開前に人の手で確認・編集しています。登場する人物・地名・出来事はすべて架空のものです。全文はクレジットにあり、アプリ内にも同じ趣旨の開示を置いています。
- 広告はリワード動画のみです。バナーも強制インタースティシャルもなく、きょうのパズルときょうの章には一切出しません。用意しているのは2つだけで、どちらも任意、どちらも遊び直し・アーカイブの画面にあります（追加ヒント3回／アーカイブの1章をきょうだけ開く）。広告が表示できないときも、すべての機能はそのまま動きます。
- ガチャもルートボックスもありません。ランダムなものを販売することはなく、購入できるゲーム内通貨もありません。
- 「1日1章」は、端末の日付を変えても動かせない時計で数えています——アプリが物語の訂正を確認する通信の応答から時刻を読みます。そのため、新しい章を開くときだけ、ときどきネットワークに届く必要があります。すでに開いた章を読むのに通信は要りません。
- 進捗はお使いのiPhoneに保存され、サインインしていればご自身のiCloudアカウントへ同期されます（当方からは読めません）。記録は上書きではなく統合されます。iCloudを使わなくてもすべて動き、進捗はその端末に残ります。
- 物語のテキストはアプリに同梱されていますが、App Store の更新を待たずに訂正できます。訂正でできるのは既存の章のテキストの差し替えだけで、章の追加・削除・並べ替えはできません。
